Most men don’t feel “emotionally blocked.”

They feel tight, braced, tired, or disconnected from their bodies. Stress settles in the chest. Breathing gets shallow. Over time, this contracted way of living becomes normal.

SHIFT: A Somatic Weekend for Men is a grounded, in-person workshop in the Bay Area designed to help men come back into their bodies, understand stress through a somatic lens, and build practical tools for emotional awareness and regulation.

This isn’t about fixing yourself.
It’s about beginning a different relationship with your body.

A Bay Area Men’s Workshop for Stress, Emotional Awareness, and Embodied Regulation

  • Many men understand their emotions but still don’t feel better.

Somatic work offers a different entry point. Instead of analysis, we work with sensation, breath, movement, and nervous system states using a simple, accessible framework: expansion and contraction.

    • Contraction shows up as stress, shutdown, tension, anger, grief, or numbness

    • Expansion shows up as breath, space, flexibility, presence, and connection

Both are human. The skill is learning how to move between them with more choice.

  • Yoga, breathwork, and somatic men’s work

Over a day and a half, you’ll experience:

    • Anusara yoga to support grounding and mobility

    • Breathwork for nervous system regulation

    • Somatic men’s work focused on awareness and presence

    • A men-only, closed container designed for safety and pacing

    This is not group therapy.
    There’s no pressure to share.
    Nothing to perform.

Most men leave feeling more settled in their bodies and clearer about how stress affects them.

  • This weekend is for men who:

    • Are navigating stress, burnout, or emotional overload

    • Are already doing inner work and want something embodied

    • Feel disconnected from their bodies and relationships or are stuck in their heads

    • Are craving grounded connection with other men

No prior experience with somatic work, yoga, or breathwork is required.

Regulation and emotional embodiment happen most effectively in real time and in relationship.

This weekend is intentionally in person and men-only to support nervous system safety, honest self-inquiry, and a slower, embodied pace.

For many men, this weekend feels like the beginning of something bigger.
